Hi there - no, we did not use ai for any of our art. We intentionally made background texts a gibberish mismatch of symbols so we wouldn’t have to worry about trademarks and brand names, especially for items in the stores where there would be a lot of these.
But if we made only store items gibberish, it would be strange if other parts had legible words, so we made everything in all the backgrounds gibberish as well.
Dl'd the demo, it looks very nice so far (I haven't done all endings yet).
I would like to ask about the timeline, if that's alright: How many years before the events of the game did MC attend the photography camp? And when did she start university?
I have this game on my laptop since 2023 and played it on repeat whenever I feel melancholy. Thank you so much for this! Without realizing, Diffraction has made a huge impact in my life and motivated me to explore my creative aspects. I'm still waiting for the full game, but of course- no pressure, I just wanted to at least leave a comment to remind myself of this development.

No pressure at all and we are so glad the game has helped! People like you sticking around for the game is one of the main reasons we continued to create it. Originally, we were just going to leave the project as an unfinished jam entry, but the amount of support we had encouraged us to keep going and work to finish it, so, sincerely, thank you.

Just played the demo and really enjoyed it! The art - backgrounds, character sprites, all of it - is so so beautiful, detailed and immersive! And Faine and Hendric are very interesting characters lol. Hen specifically surprised me when I made different choices on my second playthrough. The first time he seemed fairly normal, reasonable, and cute, but the second time it was like he was a different person! I was annoyed on MC's behalf, haha. I guess he takes his first impression of the MC very seriously.

Hendric is a really interesting character for us to write. It’s definitely hard to show off how he ticks in such a short demo and the range can is confusing, but we hope you give his routes a shot in the full game to see it unravel.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo why did demo end at such a part? I need more i am loving it so far. Curse mr. 5000 phone guy. Just because he looks good he will not get pass😤 when is next update? I am already looking forward to it. Love the visuals, the rain, the characters and the choices, photography, oh did isay rain already? Overall design. An time for i guess the personal part that makes me like this game. This game reminds me of my brother who tried to pursue something but life hit him down hard. He used to be such a nice person but when life knocked him down he came back more colder. I have my fair share of troubles but im able to get the support i need unlike him. Guess that's why i like games like this. Where there can be a happy ending or hope in a situation that is kind of bad. Wish my brother can be fixed. Well enough of that, back to game. Love it and want more. When will the next part be available? Im here to stay. I give game 5/5 already😝
We are hoping to get a final/polished demo out later this year but unfortunately, that won't progress the story more than it currently stands. The rest will come with the full game, hopefully at the end of the year.
